Google's Family Link app will let parents control their kid's Android devices

Google Family Link

Google's Family Link, a service first introduced in March to help you control your family's Android device usage, is out of its invitation-only phase and now open to all in the US. Previously, the app had been available as invite-only. So all the parent will need to do is set up the user account for the child on a new device by creating a user name and inputting the date of birth at which point the system will automatically identify the user as under the age of 13 and make the necessary changes including downloading Family Link. To run Family Link, your child's device will have to be running Android 7.0 or higher.

Parents will also get a hands-on view of what their kids are doing while on the device.

Family Link enables guardians to support or square applications that their children need to download from the Play Store, screen their screen time and the applications they're getting to, set gadget time limits, and remotely bolt their child's gadget for sleep time or considering. Which is what has now changed as anyone based in the United States can now use the service just by downloading the app for free from the Google Play Store.

Screen time can be monitored along with a complete list of the apps that the kids are accessing. Family Link also allows parents to set a device bedtime, which automatically locks the device at certain times of the day, such as during school or at night. The app's features include numerous same features Amazon offers, including the ability to limit screen time and view data on usage. When setting up the child's Android device for the first time, Google googl will as usual ask for an account that it will tie to the smartphone or tablet.

The application is accessible for kids insofar as they're utilizing an Android gadget that runs Nougat and higher. To control another device with Family Link, your device must be running Android Kit Kat (4.4) or higher or iOS 9 or higher.
