Doctor kicks patient out of Gainesville clinic after long wait complaint

A Florida doctor was caught on video screaming at a sick patient

The video ends with Stipe threatening to call the police.

The doctor concerned at the Gainesville After-Hours Clinic, 926 NW 13th St., Peter Gallogly, is now under criminal investigation, Gainesville Police spokesman Officer Ben Tobias said, according to The Gainesville Sun.

Gallogly included his own statement, two witness testimonies and the police report from the night of the argument that went viral.

The patient, Jessica Stipe, who posted the video on Monday, said she was looking for a refund when the doctor came out and started screaming and cursing at her, according to her Facebook post. He said that Stipe received her refund but still would not leave.

Stipe said she has contacted an attorney. "Despite repeated requests from the office staff, she repeatedly demanded to see me instead of leaving".

But Gallogly claimed the video was "heavily edited and taken out of context", in a statement obtained by CBS 4 Gainesville.

Stipe says Gallogly's account isn't true.

She said the clinic had taken a urine sample, but by 7:45 p.m., she was still waiting to be seen. She says she wants to go home and get in bed.

Witness testimonies described stipe as "irate" and said that she threatened staff, telling them they "have what's coming to them".

"Are you kidding me?" the doctor said. Do you know how many people ... "I got seven rooms back there", Gallogly snapped before asking her if she even wanted to be seen. "We've already been working on you. By 7:45 was not seen still in severe pain and throwing up in the trash can All they had me do was pee in a cup to see if I'm pregnant....ummm I know I'm not...", she wrote on her page.

"Then fine", he tells her. "Get the hell out. Get your money and get the hell out".

Stipe wrote in the caption that she was "severely sick" and went to Gainesville After Hours clinic for a check-up. Stipe believed she had symptoms of pneumonia, according to the Independent Florida Alligator, the University of Florida's student newspaper.

"Get the f-- out of my office", he screams, as Stipe's daughter tells the doctor to get away from her mom.

In his statement, Gallogly says his actions shown in the video were inappropriate.

He opened the door while continuing to tell Stipe to leave and then noticed her daughter was recording. "You're recording this?" he says, and appears to grab the phone and walk down the hallway.

"My daughter recorded it because they were so rude", Stipe wrote.
