Venerdì 17 novembre alle 14 si terrà la prima udienza del tribunale belga che deve decidere sull'esecuzione del mandato d'arresto europeo emesso dalla Spagna nei confronti del deposto presidente catalano Carles Puigdemont. Ora la palla passa al giudice istruttore, che entro 24 ore deciderà se i cinque dovranno andare in carcere. I politici catalani sono accusati di ribellione, sedizione, malversazione, prevaricazione disobbedienza. Previsto in ciascuno di questi passaggi un massimo di 15 giorni per le valutazioni.

Il portavoce della procura di Bruxelles ha detto che il termine ultimo per il giudice sono le 09.17 di domattina ma ha anche aggiunto che è possibile che la decisione venga comunicata tra le 20.00 e le 22.00.

Puigdemont e i suoi ex consiglieri sono stati interdetti dal lasciare il territorio belga, dovranno fornire un indirizzo fisso e dovranno "personalmente" presentarsi a ogni convocazione della magistratura e della polizia, ha precisato la procura di Bruxelles.
