Gal Gadot has a message for 'misogynist sexists'

39;Batman v. Superman'

Sounds like Affleck likely will play Batman in Reeves film, but that could very well be his final chapter as the superhero. His initial casting was met with howls of outrage by the internet. It's a amusing mix-up, but at least Bruce Wayne gets to recruit the Flash in Justice League. Unfortunately, the movie itself was met with a less than warm critical response.

HIT PLAY to see who else in the DC universe the cast would love to team up with...

A solo movie for Affleck's Bruce Wayne, long known as The Batman, has always been in the cards, but never given an actual release date. Affleck was later dropped as director and Matt Reeves came on board. Not that things are ever easy for an actor playing Batman, a role which these days carries about as much baggage as James Bond, but Mr. Affleck has been dealt a hand of jokers nearly from the start.

There was much excitement at this year's San Diego Comic-Con International when it was announced that the sequel to this year's blockbuster superhero movie would be coming out in mid-December 2019.

Speaking to USA Today while promoting Justice League, Affleck once again sounds sceptical of the project, saying the upcoming The Batman project is "something I'm contemplating".

"My son, two weeks ago, said to me, 'Dad, there's one costume I want in the whole wide world".

Ahead of Justice League's highly anticipated premiere later this week, a savvy fan pointed out a major difference between how Wonder Woman's Amazonian warrior society's costumes look in this film versus how they were portrayed in the Wonder Woman film which hit theaters earlier this year. Part of the appeal of this genre is wish fulfilment: "Wouldn't it be nice if there was somebody who can save us from all this, save us from ourselves, save us from the consequences of our actions and save us from people who are evil?" said Affleck.

This is even more clear in its suggestion of a world without Affleck's Batman than his recent chat with Extra TV. I know there's this misconception that because I'm not directing it, maybe I wasn't enthusiastic about it.
