Sia Opens Up About Exposing Maddie Ziegler to Fame

Sia on stage

Now The Guardian's Bonnie Malkin has written an opinion piece titled 'The Sia conundrum: if fame is so damaging, why pass it on to a child?' On stage, Sia's face is hidden behind her trademark wig, which places more focus on Ziegler, who joins her on stage to perform dance routines. While that is true, this story digs deeper into saying that if she feels this way, why would she make a child - Maddie - be exposed to that kind of lifestyle and environment.

Ziegler, 15, is now on tour with the singer.

The Australian artist acknowledged it's a question she has "often" asked herself since Ziegler, now 15, achieved global stardom thanks to her roles in Sia's music videos.

The Chandelier singer spoke candidly about how Maddie is her priority and if she chooses to stop then she does, which sounds fair enough.

This article poses a question I have asked myself often.

Another person tweeted, "This is a very good article to read and it's great to see that Sia cares about Maddie". She has a valid point, too.

Sia discovered Ziegler while watching the reality show "Dance Moms". She said, "With their children, clients, charges".

Sia pointed out in her tweets that Ziegler was famous before the two began working together, but she admitted that she intensified the teen's fame and feels a sense of responsibility for that. "I feel protective of her and my goal is to empower her in whatever choices she makes", she wrote.

Sia didn't stop there either. "I do try to choose the best for her always". But I think this is an important conversation'. In a thread, she reveals that she often thinks about this subject herself and says that she's protective of Maddie, her goal to empower her. But, regardless, Sia is there for Maddie no matter what and they both have mutual trust between each other. Sia also told fans that she has learned Ziegler doesn't appear to be affected by fame in the same way she is, and that she can only take Ziegler's insistence that she's feeling comfortable at face value. I can only trust that she is telling me the truth. "If that changes, we stop", she concluded.

The article went on: 'Furler herself might not be willing to marry fame but standing on the stage in front of us, she seemed to be officiating another marriage.
