Art, Style & Design! Gucci's Interactive "Gucci Garden" In Florence

The chef is a Shake Shack fan

Bottura is the dynamic mastermind behind the three-Michelin-starred eatery Osteria Francescana in the Italian city of Modena. Well, aside from the ubiquity of the tune's simple yet effective hook, the world-renowned chef behind the three-Michelin-starred Osteria Francescana has a new venture that, to fully explain, involves saying the word "Gucci" almost as many times as the song. Delicious, obviously. Diners can expect Italian classics such as Parmigiano-Reggiano-enriched tortellini and buttery cacio e pepe, but the restaurant doesn't just stop at your regular dishes. For the junk food addicts, Gucci Osteria also includes creative interpretations of hot dogs and burgers and a selection of worldwide cuisine-Peruvian tostadas and pork belly buns being the stars of the show. But the menu evidently has a sense of humor, too, offering high-end interpretations of a hot dog, a burger (fun fact: Bottura loves Shake Shack), and for dessert, a piña colada.

And the food's a damn sight cheaper than any actual Gucci clobber, with dishes costing between 20 and 30 euros. "Haute couture and haute cuisine are a recipe made in heaven", Bottura told reporters. Not for nothing, Gucci Chief Executive Officer Marco Bizzarri and Bottura are childhood friends as well. Prada owns the Milan patisserie Marchesi.

This coming together of fashion, culture and food is the brainchild of Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci.

Gucci Garden is located inside the 14th-century Palazzo della Mercanzia, which overlooks Florence's most famous square, Piazza della Signoria.

The ground floor hosts the boutique, selling limited edition or one-of-a-kind Gucci items created specifically for the Gucci Garden and inspired by the label's collections.

Entrance to Gucci Garden's exhibition space Galleria is €8, half of which will go towards helping restoration projects in Florence.
