Taylor Swift adds 3rd Gillette Stadium show for upcoming tour

Taylor Swift’s Super Spenno ‘Reputation’ Tour Tix Aren’t Selling So Great

Swift's second show has been scheduled for August 31, the day before her original show. Tickets are priced higher than her previous tours, but this is to discourage scalpers from putting tickets on the secondary market and keep as much of the sales as possible to the official source. The city is still the second stop on the tour, but Swift has added May 11 to the previously announced May 12 show. Those tickets will be available for pre-sale on January 23rd, and will go on sale on January 31st! For the July 20 show, there are complete rows throughout the upperdeck of the stadium where not a single ticket has been sold.

Her Christmas message inside the card also shamelessly plugged her new album, saying: "May your reputation shine bright this holiday season!"

But Swift has now used the snake in perhaps the oddest context yet: on her Christmas cards. Highly unlikely when you consider her ever-growing trail of sell-out performances.

Promoters for the Bad Blood singer chose to inflate the sale prices as a result of scalpers and bots procuring a significant number of seats for her 2015 tour in support of her 1989 album and reselling them for huge profits.

The idea is to charge what people end up eventually paying for the ticket on the secondary market, capturing the revenue for the artist and making it more hard for scalpers to flip the tickets on the secondary. "There are hundreds if not thousands of tickets left for every show". This is thanks to her diehard fans that paid a premium for the best tickets available at her concerts.

Can't get enough of Taylor Swift?

The 28-year-old Grammy-winner's forthcoming tour has been massively successful, insiders told Billboard Tuesday, noting that it moved more than $180 million in sales in its first week.

"We'd like to sell the last ticket to her concert when she takes the stage each night", David Marcus, executive vp and head of music at Ticketmaster, told Billboard last month.
