Clelin Ferrell & Austin Bryant returning to Clemson

Clemson got to the College Football Playoff semifinal behind a stout defense and the solid play of quarterback Kelly Bryant.

Bourret said Tigers coach Dabo Swinney made the announcement that the four players would return for the 2018 season during the team's banquet Saturday night.

Star defensive tackle Christian Wilkins is still undecided if he will return to join the party.

Clemson received a huge boost for the 2018 season on Saturday as it was announced that star defensive linemen Clelin Ferrell and Austin Bryant will be returning to school instead of entering the 2018 National Football League draft.

Earlier this week All-American offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt announced that he would return for his senior year.

Multiple news agencies projected Ferrell and Wilkins as first-round picks, while Bryant is either a second-round pick or a fringe first-rounder. He led the Tigers in sacks with 9.5 and tackles for loss with 18 among his 65 total tackles.

Clemson junior receivers Deon Cain and Ray-Ray McCloud, guard Taylor Hearn and safety Van Smith previously announced they're entering the draft.

Bryant also enjoyed a career-best season in 2017 with 50 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss.

Fields was injured much of the year, but is expected to compete for a starting cornerback position with the graduation of starter Ryan Carter.

After racking up 106 tackles in 2016, Joseph finished the 2017 season with 96 tackles, five tackles for loss, a half sack and one interception.
