Leonardo DiCaprio confirmed for Quentin Tarantino's next movie

Leonardo DiCaprio To Star In Quentin Tarantino's New Movie

It's been five years since blockbuster hit The Wolf of Wall Street, their first film together and the Australian actors big break in Hollywood, and now reports out of the USA suggest Quentin Tarantino is enlisting the pair for his new film. DiCaprio and Tarantino last collaborated on 2012's "Django Unchained".

Tarantino told IndieWire.com that the film would be more about the era rather than a biopic of Manson.

The 43-year-old has been offered the role of "an aging actor in the story that is being kept under wraps but is a "Pulp Fiction"-esque movie set in the 1969 Los Angeles during the summer of the Manson murders". Robbie was asked by Tarantino to play the role of Sharon Tate, an actress and model who was murdered by the Manson family.

2013's The Wolf of Wall Street saw Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie paired together on-screen for the first time. The movie - shrouded in secrecy - is set in 1969 and is believed to involve Charles Manson and the Manson family murders. When discussing the film in November, he remarked, "It's not Charles Manson".

Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt have also been circling the project, although it's not known if they will sign onto the movie.

Tarantino originally was planning to make the movie with The Weinstein Company, the production company that has produced almost every Tarantino film.

Tarantino is also reportedly working on an R-rated Star Trek film with The Revenant screenwriter Mark L. Smith.

Manson, who died in November previous year, was the mastermind behind the brutal slayings of pregnant actor Sharon Tate, the wife of director Roman Polanski, and six other people in August 1969.
