Tuttavia, ieri il capo della Casa Bianca ha smentito di aver usato tale espressione, ammettendo però di aver adottato un "linguaggio duro".

Parole che hanno fatto infuriare le organizzazioni per i diritti civili.

Intanto Trump ha annullato la visita in Gran Bretagna in programma a febbraio per inaugurare la nuova ambasciata Usa a Londra. In effetti, sembra davvero difficile che il presidente americano, peraltro dalla stanza del potere e delle decisioni storiche di ogni presidente, possa aver proliferato simili affermazioni.

Secondo Colville, i commenti di Trump "vanno contro i valori universali che il mondo ha cercato così duramente di istituire dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e l'Olocausto" e potenzialmente potrebbero mettere in pericolo delle vite scatenando la xenofobia.
