Trump 'unlikely' to submit to interview with Robert Mueller

Trump says US could 'go back in' to Paris climate agreement

Many anticipate Special Counsel Robert Mueller to interview President Trump as part of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States elections.

US President Donald Trump has said his country could "conceivably" return to the 2015 Paris climate accord if an agreement treated America more fairly, the BBC News reported on Thursday.

The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday detailed a list of witnesses and documents Democrats say Republicans have kept them from accessing during the panel's Russian Federation investigation, and blamed the committee's chairman and House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., for attempting to end the probe before it is complete.

This is a real exchange that happened between President Donald Trump and Fox News' chief White House correspondent John Roberts in a press conference with the Norwegian prime minister on Wednesday afternoon.

"When you talk about interviews, Hillary Clinton had an interview where she wasn't sworn in, she wasn't given the oath, they didn't take notes, they didn't record and it was done on the Fourth of July weekend", Mr Trump said.

" 'House votes on dubious FISA ACT today.' This is the demonstration that may have been utilized, with the assistance of the defamed and fake Dossier, to so gravely surveil and mishandle the Trump Campaign by the past organization and others?"

Republicans say there hasn't been proof yet on collusion, and they blame Democrats for trying to drag out the investigations and chase what they say are false leads.

That's because of a letter then-FBI Director James Comey sent to lawmakers on October 28, 2016 - 12 days before voters went to the polls to decide whether Trump or Hillary Clinton would become the 45th president of the United States.

"I think the entire Mueller probe is infected by intractable bias", Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla. told CNN.

The comments come after Trump had already criticized the investigations on Twitter on Wednesday morning, urging Republicans to take control of the inquiries and repeating his claim that they are on a "witch hunt". Democrats have been disputing this, saying there is much work remaining to determine whether Russian Federation attempted to influence the election on Trump's behalf or whether Trump colluded.

The special counsel's team of investigators has expressed interest in speaking with Trump, but no details have been worked out. Its co-founder, Glenn Simpson, described the document as "a collection of field memoranda, of field interviews" in testimony before the senior staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee in August.

The legal team's decision apparently hinges on the type of questions Mueller will ask and if that info "can be obtained elsewhere".

Trump called the investigation a "phony cloud" over his administration.

"Every single witness we've interviewed has been consistent on what they have testified to", he said.

WaPo again: "Of the three congressional panels investigating the president and Russian Federation, only the Senate Intelligence Committee appears to have maintained bipartisan calm. We're going to see what happens", the USA president said.

And according to data from the Department of Homeland Security, an average of just 100 Norwegians a year moved to the USA from 2007 to 2016, CNN wrote.
