Black Republican Senator Says Trump 'Must Apologize' For Remarks

Republican Sen. David Perdue (Ga.) said Sunday that President Trump did not use the word "s**thole" to describe Haiti, El Salvador, and some African nations during a White House meeting on immigration.

"I don't know if there is going to be a shutdown", Trump said, before the dinner.

President Trump on Sunday emphatically denied saying Haiti and other African countries were "s--hole countries", adding that he is the "least racist person" reporters "have ever interviewed".

Trump reportedly used the term last week during a bipartisan Oval Office meeting on immigration reform.

"I'm telling you, he did not use that word", he said on ABC's "This Week" program. "Durbin blew DACA and is hurting our Military". Lindsey Graham of SC was outlining a tentative bipartisan agreement on immigration they hoped Trump would support.

Ivana Trump was asked about contested allegations that Trump used a slur when referring several third-world countries during a meeting with six senators.

The senator also suggested, if the White House has a recording of the meeting, it should be released to the public. To no surprise, the president started tweeting this morning denying that he used those words. "I am stunned that this is their defense", Durbin said.

"In the course of his comments he said things which were hate-filled, vile and racist", said Durbin. Trump said, according to the source.

Lawmakers are trying to combine some form of relief for DACA immigrants along with enhanced border security, including a wall along the Mexican border, sought by Trump.

"He said, 'Put me down for wanting more Europeans to come to this country".

"I can not believe that in the history of the White House, in that Oval Office, any president has ever spoken the words that I personally heard our president speak yesterday", Durbin tweeted on Friday.

What did the president allegedly say?

Trump piled on Monday, accusing Durbin of misrepresenting what he said and of damaging prospects for a deal to protect young immigrants who were brought to the US illegally as children.

Trump issued a fresh denial on Monday, saying: "Senator Dicky Durbin totally misrepresented what was said at the DACA meeting". They worked hard, paid taxes, and rose from nothing to take care of and provide opportunities for their children.

Trump was said to have told them that instead of granting temporary residency to citizens of countries hit by natural disasters, war or epidemics, the USA should be taking in migrants from countries like Norway.

"They will have to work extra hard to send that message right now, but that's part of their responsibility".
