Pre-registration Started for Westworld the Mobile Game

At SXSW today, Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment announced pre-registration for the mobile game, which will be released this year on Android and iOS. Westworld is based on the HBO original series and is being produced by WB Games San Francisco and Kilter Films.

The production and publishing teams at WB Games San Francisco are working closely with Westworld's producers and writers to deliver a game featuring content created to complement and augment the rich depth of the series. While that may be true, it's a bit hard to stomach when looking at the game's Family Guy-esque cartoon aesthetic.

The game sets the player as a Delos trainee in a park management-type game similar to Sim City or Roller Coaster Tycoon. By using the simulation, players will take over all aspects of Westworld park operations including manufacturing and taking care of A.I. hosts and pleasing guests.

Jonathan Knight, Vice President and Studio Head at WB Games San Francisco, said that fans will be developing "their own unique strategy to orchestrate and explore the ideal park experience". Doing so will qualify you to "receive exciting incentives at launch". "We can't wait for fans to get their hands on the game to develop their own unique strategy to orchestrate and explore the flawless park experience".

The second season of the TV show will debut in April on HBO.
