CM Punk's Second UFC Fight Booked for UFC 225 in Chicago

CM Punk

As expected, the former professional wrestling superstar for the WWE, Phil "CM Punk" Brooks will be giving MMA another go after his awful debut back at UFC 203 in September of 2016.

As many wrestling fans know, CM Punk was a pro wrestler prior to jumping into the Octagon. Whittaker, who met Rosenberg at a previous Wrestlemania event, proposed to his girlfriend Thursday, with the help of CM Punk. He underwent surgery for a herniated disc days after the announcement, and the fight was pushed to September 2016 at the UFC 203 event in Cleveland. Punk didn't think Jackson was as tough as a fighter as Mickey Gall back then. He was was swiftly submitted in the opening round. He's been a constant presence at the Roufusport camp in Milwaukee, Wis., training alongside the likes of UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis, former ONE Championship titleholder Ben Askren and other notables. Now, it looks like White is willing to give Punk another chance inside the Octagon on home turf.

It's looking more and more likely that CM Punk's sophomore Octagon appearance will take place at UFC 225.

Punk has remained mum on the subject over the past several months. The UFC hyped up CM Punk's debut and it helped to sell a lot of pay-per-views as Punk had a massive fan following in the WWE.

The former WWE superstar who now trains full time in mixed martial arts seemingly just confirmed his return to action on June 9 as part of the upcoming UFC 225 card in Chicago.
