Final episode deaths CONFIRMED 'One by one they fall'

The final season of "Game of Thrones" will not disappoint, promise HBO executives who recounted being at the table read for the last few episodes.

HBO drama chief Francesca Orsi and programming president Casey Bloys got brutally honesty during an INTV panel in Jerusalem, Israel (via Deadline) in which they expressed some worry over the network's skyrocketing budget.

"None of the cast had received the scripts prior, and one by one they started falling down to their deaths".

She said that at the table read of the final six scripts ("a dream opportunity", she said), everyone stood up and applauded for 15 to 20 minutes. "We can't obviously start with the budget of season eight but would it be a Game of Thrones season three budget?"

She said it would feel like "corporate malfeasance" for HBO to ignore Game of Thrones' spin-off potential, given the show's global audience. "We are going big", Orsi said.

Pictures have also surfaced of a £1m castle set being built in Belfast, so expect this final season to be big.

Details remain scarce about the hotly-anticipated spin-offs (HBO prefers the term "successor shows") that will follow Game of Thrones when the epic fantasy series ends its run next year. "We are extremely proud of "Big Little Lies" and excited for the second season".

As for Reese and Nicole, they're laughing all the way to to the bank. Orsi added that the deluge of series from streaming services is "absolutely diluting" quality of shows by ordering in volume. "They're in the volume business, we're in the curation business", said Bloys. Amazon is not paying for the travel, which is somewhat of a disgrace and Amazon needs to know that. That curation is more valuable now than it was five years ago as we doubled the amount of scripted series, knowing you're going to a place where you're going to have a proper launch and attention paid to your show is more valuable as we get deeper into this world. "That's a very valuable talent".

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment at the IFTA Film and Drama Awards in Dublin last month, Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham said he didn't want the end of the show to drag out, and that they need it to finish on a high "before everyone hates us".
