'Iran, Iran, Iran': In Fox interview, Netanyahu identifies greatest threat to Israel

And in the latest sign that, after loudly criticizing the Iran deal as one of the "worst deal ever", the Trump administration is planning to move ahead with its plans to reimpose sanctions, Axios reports that Trump told Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu that he will demand "significant changes" to the deal in his negotiations over possible modifications as the different parties try to come to a "last chance" compromise to keep it intact.

The deal has been criticized for failing to address Iran's ballistic weapons program and for including "sunset clauses" under which numerous restrictions on Iran's nuclear program would expire, and for failing to create an adequate inspection regime to assess Iran's compliance with the agreement.

Votel, head of the U.S. Central Command, told lawmakers that he agreed with other top Pentagon figures, including Defense Secretary James Mattis and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford, who also have backed the landmark nuclear agreement.

The talks between Trump and Netanyahu took place in the White House on March 5.

"The conversation lasted an hour longer than was allocated for it".

Fresh off talks with Trump, Netanyahu vowed in a barnstorming speech at the AIPAC conference in Washington that Israel would never allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.

"Moreover, I remind you that Iran declares, on an nearly daily basis - including recently, its intention to wipe out the State of Israel".

Trump hosted Netanyahu and his wife at the White House on Monday.

Trump in January set a 120-day deadline for United States lawmakers and European allies to "fix" the deal or face a United States exit.
