Mike Pence Says He Forgave Joy Behar for Religious

She picked up the phone.

Vice President Mike Pence said he has forgiven a television co-host who criticized him for being Christian, but now he wants to see her apologize to Christians nationwide.

"I said to Joy, of course I forgive you, it's part of my faith experience", he continued. "She made a call to him and apologized, which I thought was absolutely appropriate", Iger said.

"You know, I give Joy Behar a lot of credit", Pence told Fox News' Sean Hannity in an interview airing Monday night.

Multiple reports revealed that Iger was asked during the company's shareholder meeting on Thursday about the controversial tirade of Behar against the United States vice president during the daytime talk show where told her co-hosts that Pence's faith is a "mental illness" during the show's February 13 broadcast. It's another thing when Jesus talks to you.

Hannity told Pence that his faith also taught him to forgive but added, "I'm not as good at it as you". Last week, Disney CEO Bob Iger told company shareholders that Behar had called Pence to apologize.

"I just think it demonstrates how out-of-touch some in the mainstream media are with the faith and values of the American people", he said.

Prior to Behar's personal call to Pence, the vice president issued a statement during the C-Span that took place a day after the tirade was aired about his opinion, saying that comparing Christianity to mental illness is simply wrong. "But, I felt it was important that I defend the faith of tens of millions of Americans against that kind of slander".

Iger made the remarks during the shareholder meeting in response to a question from National Center for Public Policy Research general counsel Justin Danhof, who asked what he would say to the "millions of Christians and Trump supporters" the network offended. The resulting public outrage led scores of angry viewers to call or write ABC News demanding an apology.
