'Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald' 1st Trailer Released

Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindelwald Title Treatment

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and although the video is nearly two-minutes long the studio refers to the premiere as just a "teaser trailer". The trailer for the next Wizarding World franchise installment takes fans on a brief trip back to Hogwarts.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the sequel to 2016's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Unlike the first Fantastic Beasts movie, the sequel won't be taking place in New York City. Earlier, in the first part, Grindelwald was imprisoned but now that he has escaped Dumbledore senses danger in future.

The trailer released shows the film has the same charming visual effects and character personalities that the first one held.

Here's the official synopsis of the movie - "In an effort to thwart Grindelwald's plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead". They felt nostalgic looking at Hogwarts, the world's most prestigious school of witchcraft, and the Deathly Hallows in the trailer.

This is turning out to be quite an eventful week for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to hit theaters on November 16. However, director David Yates caused a bit of an uproar amongst fans when he said the film might not be directly addressing that relationship.

In addition, fans will find it comforting that the original author J.K. Rowling personally penned the script this time around.

Are you excited to watch Fantastic Beasts 2?

The characters from the first film return, Katherine Waterston returns as Tina, Dan Fogler as Jacob, Ezra Miller as Credence and Alison Sudol as Queenie. Other supporting cast members include Callum Turner, Carmen Ejogo, and Claudia Kim. Let us know in comments below.
