Margot Robbie in talks for Tarantino's Once Upon A Time in Hollywood

Margot Robbie is now in negotiations to play the role of actress Sharon Tate in the film, Deadline reported Tuesday.

Hype is seriously building for Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming Charles Manson movie, which he recently announced would be named Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. The Australian beauty had always been rumored being eyed for the said role in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", and now Deadline reports that talks are underway to make it happen. In the film Tate is Rick's very famous next door neighbor. Dalton is joined by his long-time stunt double Cliff Booth, played by Brad Pitt. Tate was famously murdered by Manson's followers. Assuming she signs on the dotted line, she'll appear in a cast that already includes Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Tarantino had met with Robbie back in July to talk to her about playing Tate in his upcoming film, but that was before she had been nominated for an Oscar for I, Tonya.

Robbie will be taking on the role of Sharon Tate in the movie.

Robbie has been the major pick for the role of Tate for a while, following reports Jennifer Lawrence was rejected because Tate's family thought she was "not pretty enough". Polanski was married to Tate when she got murdered, so it only makes sense the director will be featured in some capacity in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". "That's a disgusting thing to say, but I have my standards".

Tarantino's ninth feature will be released by on August 9, 2019, which marks the 50th anniversary of Tate's murder.
