The Flash Producer: Fans Haven't Guessed Mystery Girl's Identity Yet

The Flash steadies an exhausted Jay Garrick

Ever since her first appearance on Supergirl crossover "Crisis on Earth-X", she got fans curious and guessing who she really is. Listed in the scripts as "Mystery Girl", fans have been theorizing on the identity of the character and executive producer Todd Helbing commented on the speculation following a press screening for this week's episode of The Flash. The character shared an unusual amount of enthusiasm when meeting the couple but never gave her name.

Fans will remember seeing Jessica Parker Kennedy's mystery waitress brief interaction with Barry Allen moments before his wedding. The young woman noted that the wedding would be "one for the ages". She then showed up two more times in Central City.

"Some of them get pretty close, some of them they hit like one part of it but they don't get other parts", Helbing said in an interview with TVGuide, "so it's fun to read".

What do you think is coming on The Flash season 4 episode 17, and how do you think that this season is going to end as a whole?

The Flash fans have been looking forward to "Run Iris, Run" for several weeks now, especially after the first look at Iris in her speedster costume.

Also, fingers crossed that there is an opportunity to either meet the season 5 Big Bad or get a further sense of who they could be - we don't know for sure that there is a season 5, but it feels okay to be hopeful for it.

Now, the two prevailing theories have been that she either is Barry and Iris' daughter from the future, Dawn Allen, or Jenni Ognats. As Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) explains, everything that made Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) into a speedster has now transferred over to Iris, and there's no easy way to reverse it just yet. Others say she might be the speedster that Jay Garrick is training on Earth 3. The character was also a Legion of Super-Heroes team member known as XS. Now that she's met nearly all other members of team Flash, we're waiting for her identity to be revealed soon. This time her focus was on Ralph and Cisco and later she was seen drawing symbols that have been seen in previous episodes of this season as well.

The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.
