Huey Lewis & The News Cancel Tour Dates Over Hearing Loss

The 67-year-old United States star said he felt "horrible" and apologised to fans as he revealed that doctors believe he has an inner ear condition called Meniere's disease. The lower frequencies distort violently making it impossible to find pitch.

Lewis, best acknowledged for his hit Power Of Love from the Once more To The Future soundtrack, acknowledged he had visited various clinics "hoping to look out an answer" to his indicators.

Lewis says his doctors believe he has Meniere's disease, an inner ear disorder that causes hearing loss and vertigo.

The "Flip, Flop & Fly" artist "can't perform until" his health improves, according to doctors, and must "cancel all future shows".

"For positive, I actually really feel terrible about this and need to sincerely apologise to all the followers who've already bought tickets and have been planning to return again see us".

Lewis concluded his statement with an apology to his fans and the hope that he will one day "be able to perform again". Some people will experience many attacks over a period of several days, and others will have an isolated attack every once in awhile. The disease can affect only one ear or spread to both.

"I have been deaf for four months", said Brown, then 26, whose real name is Inga Marchand.

Lewis went on to explain that he has being seeking help for the situation.
