October, starring Varun Dhawan and Banita Sandhu, witnessed a "super growth" of almost 48 percent on the second day of its release after registering a collection of Rs 5.04 crore on its opening day, reported trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film's total now stands at an estimated Rs 11.50 crore nett. Everyone from fans to critics and even Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has taken to social media to praise the film. Word of mouth is extremely mixed.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took it to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the first day collection of the movie. As per early trends flowing in, the movie has collected in the range of 7-8 crores on its day 2. Buzz is that October has shown a solid growth by 50-55% on Saturday. The film has garnered majorly positive reviews; some critics lauded the film's story for being "utterly relatable", some cheered for the performances of the actors. This movie is good and you all can watch it out with your friends and family as we told you above 100 times. It is a well known fact that Varun always makes sure that he is well prepared and rehearsed before the shoot, but during the filming of October the director wanted him to approach it a little bit differently. "It is so important to know what your priority in life is", he said. As soon the people who came out from the theatres, they claimed that the movie is one of the best of Varun Dhawan in which his acting skills are being called commendable.
