It is Facebook's turn to add some flair to Stories by introducing Boomerang's GIFs along with the ability to draw in the Facebook Camera.

The world's largest social network will now allow users to use the Boomerang feature popularized by Instagram Stories in their Facebook Stories, the company confirmed to TechCrunch on Thursday.

Facebook is leveling up its Stories feature.

Facebook might be having a tough time dealing with the aftermath of the Cambridge Analytica crisis, but that hasn't stopped the social media giant from working on improving its products. A new feature should be ready in a few weeks. This new feature lets you add AR based doodles before recording your Facebook stories. Additionally, Facebook Stories will allow users to create doodles that can intelligently identify what's in the camera frame and virtually interact with them even as users move the camera.

On the other hand, Instagram's Boomerang feature is going to replace the Camera button on the Stories on Facebook.

Apart from the new features, Facebook is also making the panel larger and adding a camera window in the status composer.

AR drawing allows you to draw 3D images with AR on the real world.

The move will further aid Instagram users to keep a track of how much of their data is on the platform and assist Facebook to comply with the forthcoming European data privacy rule, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

"Facebook tells me technology understands the corners and objects in the room to create a 3D spec. Facebook could use that to detect surfaces like walls and tables to wrap the drawing onto them".

If we talk about this particular Stories feature on Facebook, it has not been successful as Instagram or Snapchat.
