Gmail is testing sending confidential emails that automatically expire

In addition, users will be able to set an expiration date on sent email. You might have noticed that the AI from smart speakers or the phone assistant is not able to pick out your voice when another person is talking at the same time.

Google last overhauled Gmail's web look in 2011, opting for a more spaced-out, cleaner look as part of an effort to unify the way its products appear on desktop and mobile. The new mode will also allow senders to restrict the recipient from copying, downloading, or even printing the email.

It is essential that email service providers provide quicker solutions to its users which can compete with the easy and quick features of the personal messaging apps. However, unlike similar features in Proton Mail, self-destructing messages in Google don't simply delete themselves like you'd expect.

The new feature will likely be announced alongside Gmail's redesign for the web, which is expected to take place during Google's upcoming I/O developers conference starting May 8.

Recently the company release a new design for Google Calendar with modern icons and colours.

TechCrunch states that the feature isn't ready yet, as their source arrived at a non-existent page after clicking on the "Learn more" option to open Google's help articles.

TechCrunch also pointed out that when a ProtonMail user sends an expiring message to another ProtonMail user, the email looks like a regular email in the box.

Google researchers unveiled a deep learning audio-visual model for isolating a single speech signal from a mix of sounds, including other voices and background noise.

'We're working on some major updates to Gmail (they're still in draft phase)', a Google spokesperson told MailOnline. Google has confirmed that the new design and features are coming within the coming weeks.

"We are pleased that the Court recognized our efforts [to comply with the Right to Be Forgotten], and we will respect the judgments they have made in this case", a Google spokesman said about the new ruling, The Telegraph reported.

Would these features make you feel better about the security of your email account?
