Ed Sheeran in Talks for New Beatles-Related Movie

Ed Sheeran in Talks for New Beatles-Related Movie

The "Shape Of You" hitmaker has had cameos in "Game Of Thrones" and "Bridget Jones" Baby', but he now looks set to take his acting career even further.

If there's one thing that can't be disputed about Ed Sheeran, it's that he's one of the most giving celebs out there so it's no wonder he was horrified at tabloid claims that he was installing a fence to stop homeless people from being able to sleep outside his house.

Deadline's report comes a day after the Daily Mail published an article claiming that Sheeran is in talks for a Richard Curtis film "about a man who wakes up one day to find he is the only person who can remember the songs of The Beatles".

Universal Studios has set a September 13, 2019, release date for its untitled comedy with director Danny Boyle and stars Kate McKinnon, Lily James, and Himesh Patel.

"Everything Ed touches turns to gold", a source told the paper. He is the biggest hit-maker on the planet.

Deadline was more reserved on the news, just confirming that Sheeran was "in talks to make an appearance in Danny Boyle's upcoming music-themed comedy movie".

It is not known if Sheeran will also contribute to the film score. If casting plans go well - Himesh Patel, the actor who played Tamwar Masood in EastEnders, has been cast to play the up-and-coming musician, Also on board is The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie star Lily James and potentially Kate McKinnon - executives are looking to film this summer.
