The Cavaliers fell hard against the Indiana Pacers in Cleveland on Sunday. Victor Oladipo led the Pacers with 32 points, six rebounds and four assists. The Cavs got within seven in the fourth, but Oladipo, once a role player who blossomed into an All-Star in his first season with in, hit a big 3-pointer and Bojan Bogdanovic helped put Cleveland away with a 3 to make it 88-71.

James posted 24 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in the loss. It was the first time in LeBron's career that he lost the first game of the playoffs.

The Pacers have been running hot for a while now and they really came out firing in a big statement win in Game 1. "We take it one game at a time and whether we win or we lose, we want to come out and be better than we were in our last game". "I'm anxious about my team and coming out to play one game at a time until we beat them".

Tune in for game 2 Wednesday night at 6:00 PM CST on TNT to see if the Cavs can rally back to tie the series.

But you wouldn't have known it from the Pacers' demeanor as they fielded questions from the media on Monday.

The Boston Celtics had five players with at least 19 points to their name as they beat the Milwaukee Bucks 113-107.

We already knew, but the loss was a sledgehammer between the eyes about how much the Cavaliers will miss Kyrie Irving in the playoffs. It was a tremendous all-around performance, and Oladipo's +/- bore that out; he finished +21 for the game in 37 minutes.

"He just has to be more aggressive by attacking the basket and being more decisive offensively", Lue said.

The other double-figure scorers for the Pacers were Myles Turner with 16, Bojan Bogdanovic with 15, and Lance Stephenson scored 12.

With 1:06 remaining in the third quarter the Cavaliers came closest to obtaining the lead for the first time of the contest, cutting the Pacers lead to seven points.

For the past seven years, a LeBron James led team has been in the NBA Finals and everybody fully expected it to happen once this year despite the roster overhaul and struggles during the regular season for the Cavs. Cleveland was down 19 after the opening quarter and despite their best efforts, couldn't throw a serious scare into IN the rest of the way. "I think everybody is going to be a lot more calm and a lot more precise in what we want to do, too". If we make them, we make them. "It's only Game 1".

"So today was definitely a good test for some of our younger guys, and like I said, they'll be a lot better, especially in Game 2".

"We had some good looks that we wanted and that just didn't fall". I don't care what problems he is dealing with outside the court, you need to play him more in this series. The Warriors' depth and star power should help them overcome Curry's absence in this series, but the defending champions will need their star point guard by the time Houston come calling.

Kevin Love was one point (9) away from a double-double, but with his 17 rebounds he passed Anderson Varejao (405) for the most rebounds in Cavaliers postseason history. Jeff Green, a solid part of the Cavaliers the final month of the season, was invisible.
