Miami Heat look to even playoff series

In the main basketball League in the world continues with the starting round of the playoffs

Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown knows that All-Star center Joel Embiid is far from thrilled with being sidelined through the first two games of their first-round series against the Miami Heat.

"They say the first game is a feeling out period", said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra.

With the Sixers struggling from three-point range, the Heat found their touch, outscoring Philly by 34-13 in the second quarter to take a 56-42 lead into the half-time break.

He is reportedly out of the NBA's concussion protocol, and has already been ruled out for Game Two, which is set for Monday night at 8 p.m.at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Wade's experience proved crucial throughout, inspiring a first-half fightback to wipe out the 76ers' early lead before shepherding Miami to the win in a nervy finale.

The defeat marks the Sixers' first loss since their March 13 defeat to the Indiana Pacers and despite previously going 9-0 without injured star center Joel Embiid, his absence was especially felt this game with the 24-year-old later expressing his frustration on Instagram, stating he was "f--g sick and exhausted of being babied".

Embiid, as he is wont to do, took to social media in response to the outcome of the game. "I just want the green light to play". And when he's not able to do that, he gets frustrated. "It's born out of competitiveness and it's born out of him wanting to be with his team", he said. "I felt tonight it was a really strong example of how you wished you had him", Brown told reporters.

This is not the first time Philadelphia has played it safe with Embiid's on-court health. What this means is that the Heat are capable of blitzing the Sixers from the outside, so look for an uptempo, high possession battle in game 2.
