Night Court' actor Harry Anderson dies at 65

- Actor Harry Anderson, best known for his role as Judge Harry Stone on "Night Court", has died at age 65, FOX Carolina reports.

"This morning at 6:41 a.m. the Asheville Police Department responded to the home of actor Harry Anderson where he was found deceased", Asheville PD's Public Affairs officer Christina Hallingse told THR. According to officials, no foul play is suspected.

Apart from his role as Judge Harry T. Stone on "Night Court", Anderson also appeared in "Cheers" and "Dave's World".

In 2008, Anderson played himself on 30 Rock as part of a Night Court reunion of sorts alongside former co-stars Markie Post and Charles Robinson. Anderson was also nominated for three consecutive years from 1985 to 1987, and he directed, wrote or co-wrote a number of episodes during the series' run.

Neil Patrick Harris revealed that he recently bought magic memorabilia from Anderson, including a phone booth with the actor's name on it.

"The last time Harry Anderson played Comedy Magic Club, I opened for him", actress Cristela Alonzo wrote.

TV host and comic Chris Hardwick also mourned the loss, tweeting, " NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! "I never auditioned for anything". I hope he is in some magical afterlife doing card tricks with Mel Tormé. "He was a one of a kind talent who made millions so happy".

Dave's World creator Dave Barry paid tribute, sharing, " I'm very sorry to learn of the death of Harry Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Morgan, whom he married in 2000, and his two children from his first wife, Leslie Pollack.
