Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson to return as coaches for season 15

"We are so excited to welcome back Kelly and Jennifer, two dynamic forces who bring undeniable soul, passion and inspiration as coaches" said Paul Telegdy, president of NBC Entertainment's alternative and reality group. Eager to sit side-by-side with the Texas native, Hudson could hardly contain her excitement about their return for the next season.

The Voice will pay homage, perhaps inadvertently, to an old rival, American Idol, with two of its Season 15 coaches having graduated from the original Fox music competition.

The series is now finishing up its 14th season with Clarkson, Shelton, Levine, and Alicia Keys in the red swiveling coaches' chairs.

The top eight artists will perform live in front of coaches Kelly Clarkson, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton as well as teaming up for competitive Mashup Duets during the show's hotly anticipated semifinals shows.

Kelly shared a video Jennifer filmed of herself announcing her big The Voice return, in which JHud can be seen telling the camera, "Guess who's coming back to The Voice? Me!" With my girl Kelly, ' Hudson revealed, breaking into Since U Been Gone.

Clarkson, 36, jokes, "For as soon as, Blake and I will likely be on the identical staff, and we will likely be rooting for you all to win!"

Clarkson and Hudson return to the series (together for the first time) after their successful coaching debuts in the current season 14 and last fall's season 13 respectively. I don't know who's gonna...

Radar Online reported that Jennifer did not get along with her other coaches on the show and that fans disliked her, calling her a "diva".

Hudson, also 36, is also an alumnus of "American Idol".

The Voice airs on NBC on Mondays at 8PM.

Season 15 of The Voice will join NBC's fall lineup of shows. "We're friends, but we're future frenemies".
