Damon Wayans Claims Clayne Crawford Injured Him on Deadly Weapon Set

The Warner Bros. Television drama remains firmly on the bubble and should an actor sign on to replace him could potentially return for a third season

Crawford, Wayans wrote, once "hit another actor in the mouth with a bottle of green tea and busted his mouth open".

Among a series of tweets, he also shared a photo of a sticker posted to a pillar on the Warner Bros. lot where the show is filmed, which reads "Clayne Crawford is an emotional terrorist" over an image of the actor.

Executives from the Fox network said it wasn't their decision to give Crawford the boot, but according to TV Guide, the network supported the hard call made by producers at Warner Bros.

Seann William Scott walks the carpet at the Fox All-Star Party held during 2018 Upfronts Week on Monday (May 14) at Central Park's Wollman Rink in New York City.

Wayans also posted a video of a scene from a recent episode on the show, that Crawford directed, in which he was struck by flying shrapnel during a stunt. Within the hashtag, Wayans included the episode during which he sustained the harm was directed by Crawford. Sources note that Scott may play the brother of Crawford's Martin Riggs. Fox has now gone public with an explanation into that ordeal, with Fox Television Group CEO Dana Walden saying the recasting decision went above the network's execs, and rested in the hands of production company Warner Bros. TV.

At issue were two incidents: one in which Crawford allegedly dressed down co-workers over what he considered unsafe working conditions.

"Since @Warnerbrostv is not defending me at all... here's another photo of images other people were posting in and around the lot".

Lethal Weapon star Damon Wayans is wading into the drama over the controversial firing of his former co-star, Clayne Crawford.

"It is true that I have been reprimanded twice during the past two seasons of Lethal Weapon", Crawford wrote. My heart is full.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Crawford was sacked from the hit CBS series for bad behavior in May 2018. Crawford subsequently met with human resources, apologized for his actions, completed the appropriate therapy sessions required of him, then shared a "sizable portion" of his earnings with a party involved in the incident. "Good Luck next season!" While Crawford himself had admitted to certain instances where his temper got the better of him, it seems clear that the investigations revealed things that were slightly more complicated than arguments over on-set safety.

In response to angry fans flooding his Twitter feed over Crawford's firing, Wayans set his account private over the weekend.

"Moreover, I apologize to all of the crew and forged for any unfavorable consideration Deadly Weapon is receiving due to these incidents", continued Crawford, who mentioned that he takes "nice delight in treating everybody in life with dignity and kindness".
