Former Texas A&M wide receiver Christian Kirk arrested for disorderly conduct

According to a report that came out yesterday, Kirk and some of his friends were observed near a golf course basically drunkenly throwing rocks at cars in the parking lot, causing at least one window in a vehicle to break.

Christian Kirk, an Arizona Cardinals draft pick who played high school football in Scottsdale, was arrested and charged with criminal damage near this year's Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Kirk and another man were arrested and charged with criminal damage to a auto before being released. "As they were walking through a parking lot, (they were observed) throwing rocks at cars and breaking a window of at least one of them".

A Cardinals spokesman said the team was aware of the incident prior to drafting Kirk. According to the publication, police were notified by security guards at the event, who alleged that Kirk and his friends were "high" at the time of the incident.

Some believed the Christian Kirk would be a first-round pick at the 2018 NFL Draft.

Cardinals general manager Steve Keim, for example, said after the draft that the team paid special attention to character this year. "Our understanding is that the process will be resolved in the near future but while it remains an active legal matter, we won't comment further", the franchise said in a statement.

Kirk caught 71 passes while at Texas A&M last season, tallying 919 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
