JR Smith Shoves Al Horford in Celtics-Cavaliers Game 2

JR Smith Shoves Al Horford in Celtics-Cavaliers Game 2

Marcus Smart sure wasn't happy with J.R. Smith late in the fourth quarter of Game 2.

Smith had a miserable night in the 107-94 loss to the Celtics, failing to provide the secondary scoring the Cavaliers needed beyond LeBron James and Kevin Love, missing all seven shots with zero points as the Cavaliers' drop 2-0 in the Eastern Conference finals. Horford escaped injury on the play but it's exactly the sort of foul that can really harm a player.

Needless to say, it was an extremely ill-advised decision by Smith, not to mention a risky play and a selfish play at that.

"That's not the first time JR has done some dirty stuff, especially playing against us", Smart added. Smith pushed Horford in the back with two hands as the big man was jumping towards the basket.

Smart took serious exception to J.R. Smith's foul on Al Horford in the second half. Both Smith and Smart were also issued technical fouls for their ensuing scuffle. We all know in this room, we've all been professionals for a long time, we're not going to make every [shot]. That's not unusual for a younger group such as the Celtics, and the Cavs are right to expect a shift in bravado and tenacity with Games 3 and 4 at Quicken Loans Arena beginning Saturday.

"The hardest part is when you can't score and they keep scoring", he said. You keep letting a bully keep picking on you, he's gonna keep picking on you until you finally stand up. "One of my guys was down and I took offence to it". "I understand why they gave me a flag there". "We moved on to the next play and locked in even more after that".

The Garden crowd naturally responded with a profane chant directed at Smith, but the Cavs guard said he didn't mind the jeers; in fact, he apparently enjoyed them.
