Meghan Markle's half-sister says father had heart attack

Kensington Palace has appealed for "understanding and respect" for Prince Harry and Meghan amid this latest media storm.

Thomas Markle is now rated at 10/1 to do a U-turn and accompany his daughter to the alter.

They will be pulling the couple's carriage of choice an Ascot Landau along with another four horses during the procession.

He also said he is willing to risk his health and has asked doctors to release him from the hospital on Wednesday, so he can attend the wedding.

KFC has designed a commemorative bucket to celebrate Harry and Meghan's big day on 19 May, which is said to be "lavish and regal" in its design.

Markle, who grew up in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills, had been due to be walked up the aisle by her 73-year-old father an Emmy-winning Hollywood lighting director of Dutch-Irish descent who is enjoying retired life in Mexico. The Royal Family said Prince Harry feared for Markle's safety, especially since his mother, Princess Diana, died in 1997 while being hounded by the paparazzi.

Prince Harry got down on bended knee while the couple was cooking a roast chicken for an oh-so-British roast dinner. They don't photograph you buying vegetables and PH water.

Samantha also said she felt her father had been unfairly depicted in the media, and she wanted him to be seen in a more positive light.

Meghan Markle's parents are making headlines in the days before their daughter's royal wedding to Prince Harry.

TMZ reported that Markle Sr meant no harm to his daughter or the royal family when he allowed the photo agency to take the pictures and that he had not been motivated by money.

Her mother, Doria Ragland (61) a social worker and yoga teacher who lives in Los Angeles, is expected to accompany her daughter in the bridal auto.

TMZ said Thomas Markle was upset over the way his decision to have staged paparazzi photos taken of him preparing for the wedding has been received and chose to miss the wedding to avoid embarrassing his daughter and the royal family.

The photos were made to look like candid shots of an unsuspecting Markle, searching news reports about his daughter's wedding at an Internet cafe, reading a book at a Starbucks about British landmarks and being fitted for a suit for the wedding.

However, Britain's Mail on Sunday reported that Markle had agreed to stage pictures with a photographer ahead of his trip and the images had been sold to media for more than $100,000. "But they are in a good place now". Or self-proclaimed feminist Meghan could walk herself down the aisle, another non-traditional choice. She is not among the 600 guests invited to Saturday's wedding.
