The Honor 10 Goes Global, Starting With The UK

Honor 10 with notch display, AI-powered dual cameras and 24MP selfie shooter launched for Rs 32999

The new Honor 10 will be competing with the Motorola Moto Z2 Force, soon to be launched OnePlus 6 and Apple iPhone 6s Plus, among others. You may need to root this device in order to run these.

As expected, the Honor 10 has been priced at a slight premium when compared to the company's previous flagship offering, the Honor View 10. The Android smartphone with 6GB RAM goes on sale in Flipkart today at a price of Rs 32,999. The device will be available online exclusively via Flipkart. The smartphone packs a 3,400mAh battery and comes in Midnight Black and Phantom Blue colour variants with gradient finish.

The phone comes in Phantom Blue (with the color changing back) and Phantom Gray. However, the instant discount has been capped at Rs.3,000 per card. Customers can also opt for an exchange and get up to Rs 5,000 off over the exchange value on select devices. The phone sports a 5.84-inch 1080p LCD screen with a 2280x1080 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Having said that, Honor had introduced only a 4GB RAM variant of the Honor 10 in Europe, with either 64GB or 128GB of storage, while the company made a decision to launch one 6GB RAM model in India, which we'll talk about in a minute. In the memory department, the variant launched in India includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Honor 10 comes with a combination of 16 Megapixel of RGB Sensor and 24 Megapixel of Monochrome Sensor.

In terms of camera, the Honor 10 hosts a dual camera setup on the rear comprising of 24MP + 16MP sensors with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash and PDAF (phase-detection autofocus) for fast focusing.

The new Honor 10 brings powerful hardware, an AI chip for automated camera functions, and a beautifully crafted body to the mid-range segment, and that's great - but if you've been keeping an eye on recent phone launches, you'll notice that it's nearly identical to the Huawei P20 - and that's a good thing.

On the front, it houses an impressive 24MP camera, which is enough to take good selfies even in the low light conditions and also support facial recognition technology. The camera also lets you record full HD videos. Alternatively, users can use the Ultrasonic under-glass fingerprint sensor positioned on the front of the Honor 10. Similarly, the smartphone supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 and 4.0 GHz) with Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC.
