Mars Curiosity Rover Findings to Be Revealed Thursday

As with most announcements of announcements, they've only released a few details, but we do know that the "live discussion" will talk about "new science results from NASA's Mars Curiosity rover".

The mission was created to establish whether Mars had an environment to support small life forms, so the science community will be anticipated the discussion.

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has apparently found something intriguing on Mars, and the space agency will unveil the discovery Thursday (June 7). "The results are embargoed by the journal Science until then, "NASA wrote in the statement".

According to NASA, Thursday's Mars science discussion will be hosted by Michelle Thaller, the assistant director of science for communications in the agency's Planetary Science Division.

The event will be streamed on NASA's YouTube page, Facebook Live, Twitch TV, Ustream, and Twitter's Periscope platform.

What is Mars Curiosity rover mission?

Its likely to relate to the findings of the Curiosity Rover, which has been drilling into rocks on the Red Planet in a quest to find traces of alien life.

Curiosity was created to assess whether Mars ever had an environment able to support small life forms called microbes.

As NASA continues to study the Red Planet in great detail, its Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter keeps on finding incredible details in the planet's rocky terrain.

In September 2014, the car-sized, nuclear-powered rover reached the outskirts of the 3.4-mile-high Mount Sharp which forms a peak within the Gale Crater.
