Jennifer Lawrence's New Boyfriend Sounds Fake, Is Real

Way back when Lawrence dated Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin in 2014. The duo was snapped in September 2014 in Las Vegas

The two reportedly met through Lawrence's best friend, Laura Simpson, according to Page Six, which was first to break the news. There he reportedly studied art history, and clearly continues to pursue his passion in the Big Apple!

Meantime, Hollywood playboy and singer John Mayer told Andy Cohen this week, "Jennifer Lawrence ... just doesn't want anything to do with me". The relationship has been going on a few weeks. 'But they have been very private and careful not to be seen together'.

Lawrence recently split from director Darren Aronofsky in November because, sources told Page Six, the star, 27, and the director, 49, were "at different places in their lives". A real social butterfly! He formerly worked for the Gagosian gallery.

"The Hunger Games" star is reportedly dating NY art gallery director Cooke Maroney, but has so far managed to keep the relationship under the radar.

Maroney, whose name conjures up the image of a Gotham PD detective from "Batman", manages the high-end Gladstone Gallery, which hosts works from artists like Lena Dunham's father, Carroll Dunham.

Way back when: Lawrence dated Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin in 2014.

"I was doing double duty of trying to be a supportive partner while also being like, 'Can I please, for the love of God, not think about 'Mother!' for one second?'"

Her new romance is yet another reason to add to the list.

Earlier this month, Lawrence presented Aronofsky with an award at the 2018 BAM Gala, where she called him a "very good friend".
