Vladimir Putin invites Kim Jong Un to Russian Federation in September

Trump says he wants Americans to listen to him like North Koreans listen to Kim

On June 12, all eyes were on U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jung Un, in the first ever meeting between the heads of states of the two countries.

Military and diplomatic analyst Rear Admiral John Kirby said this would play into North Korea's propaganda playbook and the President instead should have nodded his head and shook the general's hand.

"It could happen. Yea, I think it's something that could happen", Trump told Fox and Friends. "I want my people to do the same", Trump said, and when asked about his comments by reporters, said: "I'm kidding, you don't understand sarcasm".

Kim Do-gyun, the South's lead negotiator who is in charge of North Korea policy at the Defence Ministry, said before departing for the DMZ that the two sides would discuss the schedule of a ministerial meeting, which was not addressed in a joint statement. "There has been no discussions and no change in position on the matter of the issue of United States troops in South Korea", said the high-level South Korean official, who spoke on condition of anonymity. Whatever agreement exists lives only in the imaginations of President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

While Pyongyang reaffirmed its commitment to the "complete denuclearization of Korean Peninsula", Washington reportedly provided "security guarantees" for North Korea.

"I can't speak to that", he said. We have a great chemistry together.

"Above all, I have the honor to convey to you, with special respect, honest regards from Chairman of the State Council of the DPRK Comrade Kim Jong-un", he said. "We're getting the remains".

Meanwhile, Trump reiterated in an interview with Fox News on Wednesday that he eventually wants to pull out the U.S. Forces Korea. "He saluted me and I saluted him back".

Trump offered perhaps the strongest words yet directed at the EPA administrator.

Trump said he wasn't happy about certain things but his record at the EPA is "very overriding".

"I met a general", Trump said on Fox. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders deflected criticism of the moment, saying it is common courtesy to return a salute from a foreign leader of military official. As correspondents from other networks gathered, Trump could be seen walking up the White House driveway.
