Race 3 has given its cast these box office records

The ultimate Eid playlist

The film is now the fourth biggest Eid opener for Salman after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, and Sultan.

The audience are pouring in large numbers for Race 3 across quarters, showcasing a bumper opening for a non-festive release. On Friday (opening day), the film scored over Rs 29 crore and the next day, it made Rs 38.14 crore.

The film also features Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Freddy Daruwala in pivotal roles. 25 crore on Saturday, taking total collection to Rs 63.75 crore.

Race 3 has collected Rs 106.47 crore net at the Indian box office in the (three days) first weekend.

Right now, Salman Khan's "Race 3" is experiencing similar feat at the box office.

However, the Saturday and Sunday collections despite negative reviews flooding in since Friday prove that audiences, like Bhai, don't care about critics at all and will ensure "Race 3" is declared a victor.

"Race 3's thunderous opening also proves that Salman is nearly (due to "Tubelight" and "Jai Ho") 'critic-proof" at the box office. "He said, "#Race3 hits the ball out of the park on Day 2 [Sat]...

"Race 3" made Rs 38.14 crore and Rs 39.16 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. But this time, the film will not be posting some big totals like 300 or 400 crores. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, Ajay Devgn's Raid, Kartik Aaryan's Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 2 and Alia Bhatt's Raazi were the other movies to cross the coveted mark. Race 3 is the third film in the Race franchise that began in 2008. Race 3, which released on around 4200 cinemas in India, has also become Salman's second highest weekend opener in the last eight years - Sultan earned Rs 180.36 crore in three days of the release. Anyway, today (Monday) collection will decide where it will end.

The winning streak for Salman started with Dabangg, that hit theatres in 2010 and raked in Rs 141 crore. The first two films in the franchise were directed by Abbas-Mustan.

Here are the top five weekend openers of 2018.

Not just India, Race 3 dominated the worldwide market as well.
