Chip and Joanna Gaines share pictures of newborn son

Chip and Joanna Gaines welcomed their fifth child, a baby boy, on Saturday.

Chip Gaines tweeted a message following the birth, writing, "And then there were 5".

Gaines had described her pregnancy with Crew as quite different from past pregnancies and actually fun - in particular, the unlimited napping and eating.

He did tweet: "10 lovely toes and 10 attractive fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great!" Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. She says Crew was two weeks early but goes on to say the family is very grateful.

The HGTV stars announced in January that their family was growing.

The couple are already parents to daughters Emmie Kay, 8, and Ella 11, and sons Duke, 9, and Drake, 13.

She also shared an adorable picture of their four older children, outside the hospital delivery room door, excitedly waiting to meet the new little guy.

"One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born", Gaines wrote on Instagram next to the sweet photo.

"Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we could not be more in love".
