Tennessee apartment filled with venomous spiders

A brown recluse spider

'I realized I needed to go the ER when my chest was hurting.

"And we were finding brown recluses left and right - in our bed, on the ceiling, in my iron, in her shoe", Angela Wright said.

The Brown Recluse is one of the most poisonous spiders found in the US and are common in Iowa, too. The effect of the spider bites on Wright was shocking.

Augusta said the biggest mistake renters make is refusing to pay rent when there is an issue, which puts the control back in the landlord's hands.

Smith says spraying has not worked, and that her landlord has refused to break her lease, meaning she must spend a further two months living with the arachnids (Picture: WSVN) One of the brown recluse's bites.

"I would find spiders everywhere when spring came". She will have to give 60 days notice, which means a $2,200 fee. Someone sprayed the apartment, but the spiders didn't go away.

She said the creatures have invaded her apartment despite the fact that the management company sprayed her apartment, and now she wants to leave.

"I couldn't walk, I couldn't move and I could barely swallow", Wright told the news station, adding that doctors told her that she could have suffered a stroke had she waited to go to the emergency room. "They actually told me they didn't believe me".

Angela Wright of Brentwood, Tennessee, has been monitoring the spiders in her apartment for weeks and constantly begs her building management to do something about the problem.

She has already packed her apartment and hopes to be out as soon as possible.

She recorded her landlord's answer on her cell phone.

Wright said she had no idea how unsafe it was until she was there.

The ordeal has cost Wright more than living expenses, medical costs are piling up. However, Wright told WSMT-TV she later found spiders "left and right". She estimates she owes, "at least $10,000 that I know of".

She now has to take blood thinners for the rest of her life and claims one of the doctors told her that she should not have children.
