Apple may launch new iPhones in blue, orange, gold

Apple is expected to release three new iPhone models this fall.

Kuo also upped his forecast for year-on-year iPhone sales, seeing a "significant" growth of up to 70 million new models to be sold in the fourth quarter of 2018. Kuo, after all, is arguably the most accurate Apple analyst in the mobile sphere, with a track record of far more hits than misses. "Specifically, we believe the combination of ongoing Services momentum (which we believe to be structural) and the introduction of a lower-ASP [average-selling-price] LCD-based iPhone X (upon the September launch of iPhone X Version 2, or Xv2) can provide tailwind to both revenue and iPhone X units that wasn't present for the iPhone Xv1 launch", Baruah wrote. So if you're looking for hues that are more striking, you may be in for a treat.

The 6.5-inch iPhone 2018 model is likely to be priced around $1,000 and will feature dual SIM capabilities, according to a key analyst associated with Taiwanese business group KGI Securities.

Apple's colorful side is set to burst, however, in the budget 6.1-inch LCD iPhone. Considering Kuo's wording, it appears that the gray and white he mentioned in his report corresponds to Apple's traditional Space Gray and Silver options. A blue iPhone has been launched before, but that was different as it was the budget-friendly iPhone 5C in 2013.

Apple insider Ming-Chi Kuo, as reported by 9to5mac, released a report that a rather wide variety of colour options is coming to the next iPhones in September. The 5C was offered in playful colors, such as pink, green, blue, yellow, and white. Apple quietly discontinued the iPhone 5C in 2015, according to The Telegraph. However, the general market will be attracted toward the cheaper 6.1-inch LCD iPhone.

That said, Apple usually keeps battery life similar across devices so expect that power to be made up by cutting back on processor power, or simply by packing a larger battery into that bigger frame.
