Francia Raisa to Star in 'Life Size 2,' Plot Details Revealed!

Tyra Banks reveals Francia Raisa as her costar, more ‘Life-Size 2’ plot details

"Now filming: LIFE SIZE 2", the model, businesswoman, and TV host said on Twitter.

Banks starred in the original film, which premiered 18 years ago as part of ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney, as Eve, a fashion doll that transforms into a human after a grieving girl, played by Lindsay Lohan, bungles a magic spell meant to revive her dead mother.

Banks on Monday used social media to reveal that Francia Raisa - now a regular on grown-ish - will star alongside her in Life-Size 2, which is set to premiere this winter as part of Freeform's annual "25 Days of Christmas" event.

The mother of one went to social media on Monday to confirm the rumors that a sequel was in the works. "It's time y'all! You've waited long enough", Banks, 44, captioned a shot of her and Raisa hugging. Could not find one single woman more ideal to co-star with Eve than the magnificently fierce @franciaraisa.

Francia snagged the female lead in the movie, which is set to debut this holiday season.

Raisa is likely familiar to Freeform audiences; the actress costars on the network's Black-ish spin-off Grown-ish as Ana.

The story appears to center around Grace Manning (Raísa), the "confident and funny" CEO of her mother's company Marathon Toys (who are known for manufacturing the iconic Eve doll). In the midst of a quarter-life crisis and generally in over her head, Raisa's character is causing the company's stock to drop with her antics.

For those who missed Life-Size the first time around, the movie starred Banks as Eve, a fashion doll inadvertently brought to life by Lohan's Casey, a young girl who was trying to resurrect the spirit of her deceased mother. Last August, Banks told ET's Leanne Aguilera that Lohan, 32, had officially signed on for the project and was excited to return.

No premiere date has been set yet, but Life Size 2 will air during Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas annual programming event.
