Google Pay gets boarding passes, ability to send money to contacts

Google Pay was launched earlier this year to address the company's payment portal woes. Some time ago, there were hints that the Google Pay Send would get integrated into the main Google Pay app, and that's happening today.

The old Android Pay is now known as Google Play.

The second tab in the app is now called "Payment" and features just credit and debit cards, as well as Google Play balance.

Going forward, Google Pay will allow users to pay to or request money from a friend via peer-to-peer. Google Pay (which was formerly Android Pay, which was formerly Google Wallet) is getting rolled up into a single app, and it's getting boarding pass support. Now the company is adding some much-requested features to the app. Hopefully, a lot more services and airlines are in the pipeline. Online payment methods are easy to use. Google licenses its mobile operating system to smartphone and other device makers for free, with the goal of mass adoption compared to Apple's more premium approach.

Google is cleaning up its Google Pay mobile payments app this week. You can even be reminded to use the card while you're at the store. This list includes all activity conducted with Google Pay. It can be used on different devices and platforms. Those in the United Kingdom will receive the same feature later. Bought something for another person or for a project? Google's blog post says you'll be able to save passes from Ticketmaster and Southwest with "more places soon, including Eventbrite, Singapore Airlines, and Vueling". You don't have to print tickets because you only need to show your phone.

And finally, Google has updated the Google Pay web experience to both sync transactions and give you control over everything. You can use it straight from your Android phone, Chromebook, iOS phone, laptop, or PC.

If she decides to slap Google with the fine, it will be the second record fine since past year, when the European Union fined Google US$2.7 billion for allegedly lowering the ranking of competitor shopping comparison tools to promote its own.
