LeBron James called former teammate Kyrie Irving soft

Kyle Korver Cavs

Now that LeBron James has ended his tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers, possibly for good this time, there are more reports about what happened between he and Kyrie Irving that continue to surface.

Three years ago, Kyrie Irving was dealing with a knee injury throughout the 2015 playoffs, which caused him to miss two games in the Eastern Conference finals. Cleveland is likely going to have some more roster turnover before the start of the year, too. Both Kevin Love and Kyle Korver could be shipped out for assets.

Korver is due to make $7.56 million next season, and the $7.5 million in 2019-20. In 2019-2020, he also has a $7.5 million deal with $3.4 million guaranteed.

Only Irving can tell how bad the injury really was, but James felt like his then-co-star could have done more to try and play through it.

I talked to a well-known National Basketball Association executive about what the Cavs will do with their All-Star forward now that LeBron James has signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rumors and what the Cavaliers are saying publicly have differed regarding whether Love may be on the move. Korver is getting older and his contract is only partially guaranteed through two seasons. That said, here's a shortlist of teams that Korver could easily find his way to. The key is having other players who can cover up where he doesn't contribute, so the numbers of possible suitors for him stands to be limited to contending teams.
