Love Island host Caroline Flack announces split from fiance Andrew Brady

Love Island 2018 Caroline Flack

But despite the acrimonious nature of their break up, Caroline Flack, 38, is still holding onto a significant piece of her whirlwind romance, as she emerged on Wednesday still wearing the engagement ring given to her by Andrew, 27. Unfortunately it was not to be.

Earlier today, both Caroline and Andrew confirmed that they are no longer together and made sure to wish each other all the best.

As Caroline mentioned she has the Love Island villa to keep her busy and we 'll just have to wait and see what Andrew does next. "It's back to the ol' grafting".

"Unfortunately it was not meant to be and I wish her all the best in the future".

Shedding light on her emotional state, she took to Twitter shortly after releasing her statement and simply posted a crying Emoji.

The "Love Island" presenter and the former "Apprentice" star started dating in January and got engaged in April when he popped the question, but they have now chose to go their separate ways.

Just last month, Caroline spilled all on her wedding plans with the Apprentice star ahead of the new series of Love Island.

Similarly to her and Andrew, the pair also shared a relatively large age gap, with Harry being just 17 at the time, while Caroline was 31.

Caroline revealed recently that she met Andrew after getting in touch with him when she saw him on Celebrity Big Brother. I think it was the second day we met! It's what I've been looking for. "Go back in your shell" but when I look back on it that feeling hasn't changed". But I wanted to make room in it for you.

She told Daily Mail's You magazine in May: "Andrew proposed totally out of the blue and it was very low key". I've never had that before - with anyone. This time previous year I was in a completely different position.

The former X Factor presenter was previously forced to defend her relationship, after the couple faced accusations it was all a publicity stunt and so-called "sources" claimed Caroline's friends were anxious that Andrew could be using her to boost his profile. He's new to this world.
