Vanderbilt law professor believes Roe v. Wade won't be overturned

Nancy Sinatra reveals why she despises Trump voters – ‘especially the women

Vice President Mike Pence refused to take a position Tuesday on whether he'd want Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh to side against abortion rights, but he maintained the Trump administration "will continue to be a pro-life administration". And if Roe v. Wade is overturned, will that mean the end of legal abortions in our country?

Vanderbilt Law professor Brian Fitzpatrick doesn't adhere to that thinking.

Bash repeatedly pressed Pence on Trump's campaign-era promises that his administration's Supreme Court nominees would oppose Roe. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) saying that Trump had nominated "someone who will not protect a woman's right to make decisions about her life, her healthcare, her reproductive freedom".

Fitzpatrick believes gay marriage will also be upheld if Kavanaugh is confirmed to the high court. Cleveland served almost 25 years as a permanent law clerk to a federal appellate judge and is a former full-time faculty member and current adjunct instructor at the college of business at the University of Notre Dame.

Fitzpatrick said there is a long-held doctrine at the Supreme Court that most justices adhere to, "Let Things Stand".

"They are a conservative institution, not only politically, but institutionally".

"Kavanaugh may have the ability to vote on Sturgeon vs Frost, the Alaska hovercraft case that goes before the Court this fall, and could very well be the pivotal vote to ensure Alaskans have the ability to enjoy the public lands and waters we have, against federal overreach", Treadwell said Monday night in a written statement.

Glenn is joined by Abby Johnsen, author of "The Walls are Talking" and CEO of And Then There Were None, a ministry to help abortion clinic workers leave the industry, to discuss the real future of Roe v. Wade. "The things to be anxious about are the future cases. that's where a Justice Kavanaugh, if confirmed, can make a difference", said Fitzpatrick.
