Historic photos show every time American presidents met British Kings and Queens

U.S. President Donald Trump and First lady Melania Trump board Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House

The President of the United States of America visits the UK this week, and if he was any other leader it would be a simple exercise in worldwide politics. Both of those accords were the result of years of painstaking diplomacy by European leaders - and Trump unilaterally trashed them.

There are also plans for protestors to gather close to the U.S. ambassador's residence in Regent's Park, where Trump and his wife, Melania, will stay overnight on Thursday.

Protests are also planned in Scotland when he travels to play golf at his Trump Turnberry course.

But Drew, an American student who lives here in the United Kingdom, won't be among the demonstrators. "People see him as a cheap huckster who happens to have an office we respect as president of the United States". He's not coming here for himself.

"Give us your tired and your oppressed and we'll divide you from your children", he said mockingly of Mr. Trump's policies.

"I would be happy to see Hillary Clinton if she was president visit the UK". "It's really kind of irrelevant to what we're trying to do, and doesn't express the opinion of the British people that I've met", he told the BBC's Today programme.

"It's important for us to send a powerful signal to those who are resisting and campaigning in America that we are standing in solidarity with them", Rehman said.

"From the public, the welcome will be far from warm", he told lawmakers on Wednesday, noting there would be protests across the country against Trump's "abysmal record on human rights, his repugnant attitude towards women and his disgusting treatment of minorities".

On knife crime: The president claimed a hospital in the capital had "blood all over the floors" amid a wave of knife crime, adding: "They say it's as bad as a military war zone hospital".

At the same time, Trump will be touring a defense site with May outside of London.

They use these traditional song to frame satirical comment on the controversial US President's many scandals, including his infamous comments about grabbing women without his consent, and his administrations approach to Islam and immigration.

Scottish Labour leader Richard Leonard and Scottish Greens co-convener Patrick Harvie said the publicly owned facility should not be available to Mr Trump.

The couple will attend a gala dinner at Blenheim Palace out in the countryside on Thursday evening.

Trump is expected to arrive after a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Belgium and will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May, meet Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle, and will attend a black-tie dinner at the home of former World War Two leader Winston Churchill.
