Donald Trump protester to Piers Morgan: ‘I’m a communist, you idiot!’

Good Morning Britain Piers Morgan Ash Sarkar

On Thursday on "Good Morning Britain", host Piers Morgan got into a shouting match with Ash Sarkar, a Donald Trump protester.

"I'll be marching in Westminster tomorrow, alongside thousands of other people who found the policy of [separating families at the U.S. -Mexico border] unconscionable, who think that the sight of our elected prime minister [Theresa May] holding Trump's hand [in a 2017 photo] is an utter embarrassment", she said.

"Did you find Obama deporting three million people unconscionable?" "And that's why I also protest detention and deportation in this country as well".

The continuing exchange led co-presenter Susanna Reid to intervene.

"He's not my hero - I'm a communist you idiot!" she replied. 'So if she's not allowed to protest against one thing or protest against anything, then you shouldn't run campaigns against one thing!' she blasted.

This latest disagreement marks the second time in recent history that Piers has been responsible for a guest's interview on "GMB" being cancelled, previously blocking singer Lily Allen from appearing on the show to promote her latest album, after the two had a war of words over a gun-shaped necklace she wore during a concert.

United States president Donald Trump has arrived in the UK for a four day visit, with plans to meet both Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen.

The Good Morning Britain clip, which can be watched in full on Twitter, continues the fiery debate between Piers and his guest.

Sarkar cut him off, saying: "I'm not pro-Obama!"

Sarkar, who became increasingly impatient throughout the interview, said that Morgan was trying to "make up for your incompetence as a journalist", adding: "You didn't hold Trump adequately to account when you interviewed him".

"What you do is be relentlessly anti-Trump and pro somebody like Obama - it doesn't wash".
