Third-party extension adds Windows 10 Timeline support to Chrome and Firefox

As mentioned in earlier posts, develope Dominic Maas has created a free plugin for Chrome and also Firefox which provides support for Windows Timeline and Microsoft's Project Rome Continue on PC initiative.

Timeline, a feature introduced to the general public with version 1803 (the April 2018 Update of Windows 10), hasn't taken off with the developer community perhaps quite as quickly as it should. This means that you'll now be able to see all the webpages you view in those browsers within Timeline, just like you already can with Microsoft Edge. "Today people work and play across multiple applications, platforms and devices and we want to make this easier and more seamless for our customers, so they can focus on what's important - creating and getting things done", Microsoft had explained past year.

An additional Timeline-based feature this add-on gives users is the ability to push open tabs on your browser of choice from one Windows device to another, previously possible only on tabs open in the iOS or Android version of Edge.

The feature requires apps and programs to add support for Windows Timeline.

Sync your browsing history to Windows Timeline, access it at a later date or on another device with the same Microsoft Account. It now appears that you can extend the functionality of Windows 10 to major browsers like Chrome and Firefox using a new extension.

Make sure you check out Dominic Maas on Twitter and download the extensions for Chrome/Vivaldi here, and Firefox here!
