Woman left out of will is accused of killing mom

Gabriela Perero 53 allegedly beat her mother to death after learning she was not in her will

A woman ripped her 85 year-old mothers skin off then beat her to death after discovering she had been cut out of her will, police say.

The 53-year-old suspect was identified as Gabriela Perero, who reportedly contacted police after the confrontation and as her critically injured mother, Luisa Perero, was on the floor.

According to an arrest report, Perero told her mother, "You destroyed my life, so I'm going to destroy you".

She remains in jail without bond.

After the beating, Perero took her mother to a bathroom and washed the blood off her, put her in bed and called 911, police said.

Authorities in Broward County believe the motive for the violent altercation was the suspect's realization that she would not be included in her mother's will.

When she found out that her siblings had received an inheritance and she hadn't, Perero told police she grew angry and started smashing things around the home.

The SunSentinel reports that after Luisa Perero died from her injuries, police charged her 53-year-old daughter Gabriela Perero with premeditated murder and aggravated battery on a person over 65.

The mother spent a day in a coma at Broward Health Medical Center before dying.

"You destroyed my life, so I'm going to destroy you", Perero told police, recalling what she said to her mother during the attack, the report said.
